Precision stamping manufacturing technology has become an important component in the parts industry, and most stamping hardware parts are applied in aerospace, automotive, marine, machinery, chemical and other fields. So how is the precision stamping manufacturing process produced and processed? The production efficiency of precision stamping processing is high, and the operation is convenient, making it easy to achieve mechanization and automation. For the overall precision stamping manufacturing process, the precision stamping process is mainly influenced by two factors: equipment type and workpiece material.

1. The technological advantages of precision stamping

Precision stamping parts are manufactured through stamping with minimal material consumption, resulting in lightweight and high rigidity components. And it also has high scale accuracy, with uniform and common scales of the same module, and good interchangeability. In stamping processing, because the surface of the material is not easily damaged, it can retain good surface quality and have a smooth and beautiful appearance, which provides convenient conditions for subsequent surface treatment.

2. Material selection for precision stamping

There are three main stamping processes: punching, bending, and stretching. Different processes have different requirements for the sheet metal, and the selection of materials should also be considered based on the approximate shape and processing technology of the product.

(1)Punching requires the board to have sufficient plasticity to ensure that the board does not crack during punching. Soft materials have good punching performance, which allows for the production of parts with smooth cross-sections and minimal inclination after punching processing

(2)The sheet metal that needs to be bent into shape must have sufficient plasticity and a lower yield limit. Plates with high plasticity are less prone to cracking when bent, while plates with lower yield limits and lower elastic moduli have smaller rebound deformation after bending, making it easier to obtain accurately sized bending shapes. Materials with high brittleness must have a relatively large bending radius when bent, otherwise cracking is prone to occur during the bending process.

(3)Deep stretching is a difficult process in precision stamping, so it not only requires the depth of stretching to be as small as possible, the shape to be as simple and smooth as possible, but also requires the material to have good plasticity. Otherwise, it is easy to cause quality problems such as overall distortion and deformation of the part, local wrinkling, and even tearing at the stretching part.
